Kolkata-based Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has started its aluminium foil facility in Sambalpur, Odisha. The 18,000 TPA unit will make foils in thicknesses for packaging, consumer goods and cars.
The company is also setting up a 60,000 TPA Aluminium Flat Rolled Products plant in Sambalpur. This plant will make products in thicknesses. It will be ready soon.
Shyam Metalics Chairman and Managing Director Brij Bhushan Aggarwal said this project is a step in making a strong aluminium ecosystem. He said there is a demand for good quality aluminium products. This facility will help industries grow.
Sambalpur is a location for the company. It will help them send products to customers in India and other countries easily. The project will also create jobs. Help Odishas economy grow. This is part of the "Make in India" plan.
